About Us
Graduating from Pace University with his BBA in Public Accounting, James Oliveri started working for a small CPA firm in Greenwich, CT. At M.J Smeriglio, he performed bookkeeping duties for various small companies, including pharmacies, deli's, restauraunts, and small offices. After working there, he moved to work in a mid-sized accounting firm located in midtown manhattan called Buchbinder Tunick & Company, LLP. At Buchbunder, James worked on various audits ranging from non-profits to manufacturing companies. In addition to audits, he prepared tax returns for high net worth individuals, small subchapter S Corporations, Multi-national corporations, Condominiums and Co-ops, non-profits, 401(k) plans, and partnerships.
In 2005 Oliveri Consultants, Inc was formed. Originally, the goal of the company was to provide affordable, professional, and personable income tax preparation to individuals whose returns were simple. In addition, OCI was to provide small businesses with a simple, easy, and professional outsourced solution to their accounting system, rather than an internal accounting department. Over the course of 4 years, OCI has grown to provide more businesses with reliable, professional, and affordable outsourcing for payroll, bookkeeping, sales tax preparation, incorporation, and tax preparation.
Since formed, Oliveri Consultants, Inc. has recruited a number of various clientelle, ranging from art galleries, gyms, recruiting agencies, restauraunts, telephone providers, and construction.
